OCE 1001 - Honors Elementary Oceanography
This course is intended to provide students with a general introduction to the science of the world's oceans. We will discuss the vital role the oceans play in the functioning of our planet as well as the interactions between ocean organisms, earth and ocean structure, and the chemistry of seawater. Throughout the course, the primary goal will be to excite as well as to inform students about all facets of oceanography from the fiery creation of oceanic crust in the deepsea to the dynamics of marine mammals at the ocean's surface.
